Account

To access certain features of our platform, you must register for a WhaleShort account. When creating and maintaining your account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to promptly update this information should any changes occur. Your account is personal to you and may not be transferred or shared with others.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. This includes any purchases made or content accessed through your account. We strongly recommend using a strong, unique password and taking appropriate measures to secure your account.

If you wish to discontinue using our services, you may permanently delete your account at any time through the "Delete Account" feature. Please be aware that account deletion will result in the permanent removal of all associated data, including both free and paid content. Once deleted, your account cannot be restored and all content will be irrecoverable.

Information Sharing

When using WhaleShort, certain profile information you choose to make public - including your profile ID, nickname, photo, and personal introduction - will be visible to other users across our platform. This enables us to maintain your account and provide services according to your preferences.

Some features of WhaleShort allow you to share content beyond our platform, such as through integrated social media plugins, public forums, or blog functions. When you use these sharing features, please be aware that third parties outside of WhaleShort may access and use the information you choose to share. We clearly explain what information may be shared when you first use these features.

We take your privacy seriously and require any third parties with whom we share data to maintain protections equivalent to those outlined in our Privacy Policy. You maintain control over your information through your account settings, where you can manage third-party access permissions and revoke sharing consent at any time. However, please note that restricting information sharing may limit or disable certain features of our service.

WhaleShort does not rent or sell your personal information to other companies or individuals without your explicit consent. While we implement safeguards for data shared through our platform, we cannot control how third parties handle information you choose to share with them through external sharing features.

Do's and Don'ts

You may not use WhaleShort for commercial purposes without our explicit authorization. Any unauthorized transfer of rights under these Terms of Service is prohibited. You must refrain from employing any means to disrupt, damage, or interfere with WhaleShort's services, including through unauthorized software or devices.

All content on WhaleShort is protected intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, translate, or create derivative works without permission. Reverse engineering or attempting to access our source code, algorithms, or underlying technology is strictly forbidden. Any unauthorized use or reproduction of our intellectual property will be considered theft.

You must use WhaleShort lawfully and ethically. This includes refraining from illegal activities, respecting others' rights, and avoiding actions that violate contractual or legal obligations. You are solely responsible for all content you post, including any consequences arising from its accuracy or potential infringement of third-party rights.

While we strive to maintain secure and uninterrupted service, certain risks are inherent to online platforms. These include but are not limited to technical issues, security breaches, service interruptions, and factors beyond our control such as government actions or third-party service failures. You are responsible for your own internet access and associated costs when using WhaleShort.

Violations of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund. You agree to indemnify WhaleShort for all liabilities, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) resulting from your misconduct. We retain exclusive authority over all legal matters concerning these terms, and you must cooperate fully with any investigations or proceedings. Any payments you've made may be retained as liquidated damages, with additional recovery possible if damages exceed this amount.

Recharge

WhaleShort maintains separate virtual currencies for each of its products, with each currency valid only within its original platform. The trading or transfer of virtual currencies between users is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to take immediate action, including account restrictions, against any violations of this policy without prior notice.

All virtual currency purchases are considered final transactions and are non-refundable. Before completing any transaction, please carefully review your account details and purchase information. Please note that we do not provide refunds or compensation for unused virtual currency balances or for any other related reasons.

For payments processed through third-party services, users are responsible for complying with the respective service provider's terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to safeguard your personal and payment information. WhaleShort cannot be held liable for any disputes or issues that may arise from the use of third-party payment services.

In cases where an account is suspended or terminated due to violations of these terms, no compensation will be provided for any remaining virtual currency. However, we will address and resolve any technical issues that result in failed transactions or incorrect charging amounts once the system issue has been identified and corrected.
